ULAN BATOR, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga will pay a state visit to India from Sept. 19 to 23 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday.
During his visit, Battulga is expected to hold talks with Kovind and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two sides will discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common concern, the ministry said in a statement.
"President Battulga's visit to India will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership between Mongolia and India in various sectors such as politics, security, defense, trade, investment, economy, education and culture," it said.
The last time that a Mongolian president visited India was 10 years ago.
