YANGON, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 17 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry on Tuesday.
The number of COVID-19 infections has risen to 142,179 and the death toll stood at 3,203 on Tuesday, the release said.
A total of 131,748 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far, and 1,261 samples were tested on Tuesday, down from around 10,000 samples tested daily in the first week of last month. Enditem
