JAKARTA, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Another batch of COVID-19 vaccine made by Chinese company Sinopharm has arrived in Indonesia, Deputy Minister of the State-owned Enterprises Pahala Mansury said Tuesday.
"We hope that the Sinopharm vaccine imported by Kimia Farma, which is a subsidiary of Indonesian vaccine manufacturer Bio Farma, will be used for Gotong Royong (mutual cooperation) vaccination program," said Mansury.
He said that the arrival of the Sinopharm vaccine will increase optimism of the Indonesian people and accelerate the existing vaccination progress.
The Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine was validated by the World Health Organization in early May for emergency use. Enditem
