HANGZHOU, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Masks, testing kits and other anti-epidemic supplies that were donated by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation have arrived in Rome, capital of Italy, said the Jack Ma Foundation on Wednesday.
The supplies have been handed over to the Italian Red Cross and will be used in the country's fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
The Jack Ma Foundation said 500,000 masks that the two foundations donated to Spain have arrived in the Spanish city of Zaragoza, and 50,000 testing kits are also on their way to the virus-hit country.
The Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP) smart logistics hub, which was jointly built by the Belgian government and Alibaba at Liege Airport, has played an important role in processing relief goods from China to Europe.
Cainiao, Alibaba's logistics subsidiary, will increase its charter cargo flights between Hangzhou and Liege to five a week, to send relief goods to Europe.
