KIEV, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Experts with the Chinese Ministry of Health held a teleconference with their Ukrainian counterparts on Friday to share their experience in COVID-19 prevention, containment and treatment.
The Chinese experts gave an extensive amount of practical information based on their experiences in fighting the virus.
Ukraine's First Deputy Minister of Health Andriy Semyvolos and President of the Ukrainian Society of Anaesthesiologists Dubrov Serhiy attended the teleconference at the Chinese embassy in Ukraine.
Semyvolos thanked the Chinese side for sharing its valuable experience, adding that he hopes the two countries will further their exchanges and cooperation in fighting the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Following the teleconference, Wu Lianwen, minister counsellor of the Chinese embassy, said China is ready to provide possible assistance to the Ukrainian people during this difficult time.
"We believe that Ukrainians will certainly be able to win the fight," said the Chinese diplomat.
Currently, there are 26 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine.
