    China's APEC Policy

China holds that APEC is an inter-governmental forum for economic cooperation. China also holds that APEC is an economic forum by nature and an organization that focuses on the development of regional economic cooperation.

China sticks to making the principle of acting on one's own will on a voluntary basis, reaching consensus through consultation, being flexible and progressing step by step as APEC's mode of cooperation.

China supports actively and steadily advancing the process of liberalization of trade and investment and promoting the healthy development of a multi-lateral trading system on the basis of adhering to the principle of opening and non-discrimination. China attaches importance to economic and technological cooperation and holds that economic and technological cooperation and trade and investment liberalization are closely related and that they should complement each other.

China maintains that APEC should pay close attention to financial issues, strengthen financial regulation, be good at formulating financial policies in accordance with actual circumstances, keep a sound financial order and ward off financial risks.
