Golfing in Shenzhen

Although golf club made its home in Shenzhen not long, authorities have been emphasizing the importance of pursuing high starting point and achieving high economic benefit of this game from the very beginning.
Now in Shenzhen, golf activity exhibits the following characteristics.

First is the appearance of golf clubs that meet international standard. Currently, shenzhen has seven golf clubs, each of them is of top level, even by western standards.

Second is the high-level management staff. The third is the growth of high caliber players. Zhang Lianwei, Cheng Jun, professionals from Shenzhen, excelled in a serial of national and international golf events. Especially the fact that during 42nd Golf World Cup held in South Africa, they made into top 20, is a more celebrating breakthrough. Amateurs' skill level starts showing improvement also.

Shenzhen fully recognizes the driving power of golf in promoting economic and cultural exchanges and related businesses. It hosted the 41st Golf World Cup Finals in November, 1995. It will continue to discover and foster golf talents and make "Home of Golf" a name that fits shenzhen.
