Built in 1985, Shenzhen Gymnasium covers an area of 1144 square meters, with an audience stand of 6000 seats.

The stadium is equipped with modern technology: central air conditioning, advanced lighting and stereo equipment, computerized scoring and timing system. Central controlled fire alarms and water sprinklers, close-circus monitors and security system.

Many artistic and athletic events have been held here since it started operating. Now it hosts around one hundred large-scale shows and contests per year in average, entertaining audience over 100, 000.
