Shenzhen Museum

Shenzhen Museum is located in the center of downtown, facing Central Shennan Road and adjacent to Lychee Park, SEZ Newspaper Building, and News and Culture Center. It is a comprehensive, multifunctional modern museum. The entire facility consists of a 8,000 square meter exhibition area, 2,500 square meter office space, 1,500 square meter storage space, and a 350 square meter audio/video room. The center hall can exhibit large item and has international-standard exhibit units.

The building is a old castle-style, four-story, close structure with 3 elevators. Permanent exhibitions include "Ancient Shenzhen", "Recent Shenzhen", "Shenzhen Today" plus several series in "Contemporary Masters of Painting and Calligraphy", "Guizhou Folk Festivals and Culture", etc.. In addition, the museum put on various displays of items every year on culture relics, history, science and technology, culture, and art. Since its opening in 1988, the museum has been serving an average of 10,000 visitors per month.
