Ancient City Wall (1553) Lying on 259 Dajing Road in Nanshi District, the Ancient City Wall was originally built in 1553 to defend against pirates. On the wall are watchouts and platforms. The city wall is almost ruined, only a little remainder lies.

The former Banque de 1'indo-Chine (1914)

Fuxing Fang Lane (1927) Fuxing Fang Lane is characterized by long courtyard and high rather than short encircling walls. The main lane of the residences was widened; the inner parts of the residences are featured by living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen and garage.

Shanghai Garments Company (1917)Shanghai Garments Company (used to be the Sincere Company Building) was built in 1917 at 640-700 Nanjing Road (E). A three-storied tower installed with a big round clock is mounted on the roof; the decorated rails on the veranda strengthen the classic feature of the building, while Ionic orders are erected at the entrance.

Ohel Moishe Hall (1927) 62 Changyang Road is the site of the former Ohel Moishe Hall built in 1927 by Jewish Russians. It is one of the well-preserved Jewish halls. During the Second World War, Shanghai generously housed thousands of Jewish refugees. This hall was the place where the Jewish often assembled.

Former residence of Lu Xun (1930) Former residence of Lu Xun is located at 9, Lane 132, Shanyin Road. The new style lane residence was the place where Mr. Lu Xun, the great Chinese writer and thinker, had lived and worked from 1933 to 1936, the year when he passed away.

Da Shi Jie (1917) Located at 450 Yan An Road (E), Da Shi Jie (the Great World Entertainment Centre) was set up by Huang Chujiu in 1917. This is the oldest recreation complex with Baroque tower which is encircled by columns. The building is very noticeable in the city.
