Market Construction

In 1997, the development of the commodity markets in suzhou have sped up. The key markets have enlarged their scales. There are 690 commodity markets of various types in total with an annual 61,000m yuan volume of business, among which the volume of business of the consumer goods markets boasts 49,600m yuan, making an annual increase of 4.1% and 10.5% respectively. Among these markets, there are 72 that have an annual volume of business of over a hundred million yuan, including 11 that have more than 1,000m yuan and two over 10,000m yuan. ChiˇŻan Oriental Silk Market in Wujiang City has even reached an annual volume of business of 13,000m yuan. There has been a distinct development of the markets in the city proper. The construction of featured downtown streets is sped up according to the principle of ˇ°culture as foundation, tourism as guide, like goes to likeˇ±. The construction of commodity markets is among the best in Jiangsu province and within China as well. The further development of key elements markets has exerted active affect on the distribution of key element sources. The property right exchange market has concluded a transaction of 170m yuan. The call money in financial markets has reached 119 hundred million and foreign exchange redistribution 7.56 hundred million. The volume of business in technology market has reached 4.5 hundred million. The brains fairs have received 100,000 person-times. At the same time, the intermediary organizations have got further development through standardization and reached 1,200.
